Suga Shop, Queen Victoria Market
Sweet, sugary science!

Have you ever stared, fascinated as the confectioners at the Suga Candy Shop at the Queen Victoria Market stretch kilos of sweet, stretchy sugary goodness into tubes of deliciousness? Does your mouth water at the mound of hard rock lollies lining the Suga Shop shelves?

Join us at the Queen Victoria Market during Living Science at the Market. Our curious chemists are heading over to the Suga Shop to discuss and declaim about science behind the sweeties!

Sugar Science sessions will run throughout the day. Meet Chemist Caitlin and discover how sugar goes from the grainy crystals we know to the smooth, glassy rock candy we love.

Use the Candy-O-Matic at the Exploratorium to create some virtual candy.

Head home and start your own sugar science session. Download our sugar notes and sugar recipes and cook up a science storm!

This is a City Science 2011 event brought to you by National Science Week
