Get your photo taken with Charles Darwin
Sunday 20 June 2010 - Thursday 31 January 2013
A simple event at your school, community group or open day, is to borrow our full-sized Charles Darwin stand-up cut-out, grab a good camera and put it on a tri-pod, locate a station for taking photos and once done, add them to your website for people to download their photos. The results speak for themselves - it offers a great opportunity to discuss Darwin's impact and to celebrate his contribution to science, in a very human way.
The Hamilton and Alexander School, junior campus borrowed Darwin for a week to celebrate science.
Darwin is easily couriered to your school. Courier costs are approx $30 each way. A suggested way to recoup the cost is to charge the students a gold coin to have their photo taken with Darwin!
